An era is going to end soon as Sachin Tendulkar announces his retirement after 200th test. I salute the little master for being such a great ambassador for the game of cricket. He has been an exceptional player of the game and his contribution will remain unforgettable. He gave us all a lot of joy and made the entire country proud on so many occasions. He has been a phenomenon in the world of cricket. And not only that, he is a true mascot of the gentlemen's game that cricket is. His conduct off the filed too has attracted immense admiration and respect. He is a legend in its true sense. Something's going to be amiss for me whenever I watch cricket after the upcoming two tests against West Indies.

Thank you very much Master for bringing us all the glory and entertainment for unbelievably long period of 24 years. That itself speaks volumes of your persona. It has simply been enviable.

Here's extending loads of love and best wishes to you for your future endeavors. I am sure you'll excel in whatever you choose to do now.

Nandini Srikar and her Indie Music Album Beete Pal

How often would it happen that a singer of Hariharan’s repute hears you singing a few lines and asks you to sing more? It sounds like a thing of a beautiful dream; however, that’s exactly what happened with Nandini Srikar at a gathering during Pune festival. And it was quite dramatic as well. It so happened that the power went off during the event and people being aware that Hariharan was around requested him to sing. He didn’t sing but Nandini started singing one of his compositions. When the lights came on, Hariharan made her sing a few more songs. He was so impressed that he advised her to take up a career in singing. He was also ready to help her taking the first step in this direction. Needless to say this particular incident turned out to be a life changing event for Nandini Srikar.
